Yesterday I sent off a client, a friend, a dear sister on her final journey. I will be doing my first death claim as a financial consultant, after being in service since 2007.
She was also my first client whom I helped file for Critical Illness claims 7 years ago. When we met up back then, I told her that she would be my first critical illness claim, and I asked why it has to be her. We sat there with tears rolling down our cheeks, without a single word.
Fast forward to today, she is still my first – first for death claims. The difference is that this time I can only send my thoughts to her in heaven, hoping that she can hear me, praying that she is in a better place with no pain.
I’m glad she trusted me fully with her financial planning, and allowed me to put in place risk management plans for her. She did not have to worry about money and could fully concentrate on her cancer treatments in the past 7 years.
Thank you my dear sister for everything and may you rest in peace. Till we meet again!
